Conservations & Listed Buildings
Planning permissions for heritage and listed building applications and buildings in conservation areas can be very involved and will often require specialist knowledge.
Over 30 years of architectural practice Nicola Page has built up a wealth of knowledge of the restoration and extension of Listed Buildings, other historic structures, and buildings in Conservation areas. Nicola has extensive experience in dealing with Local Authority conservation officers and heritage advisors. Projects have been wide ranging and include Faculty applications and extensions to churches, extensions and alterations to thatched properties, farm buildings, and country houses.
Most recently Nicola obtained planning and listed Building Consent for the Grade 2 listed Bluecoats House in Bluecoats Avenue Hertford (formerly Christs Hospital) which is being converted from offices to residential use. She also spent a year working part time as an architect on site, at a very large Grade 2* listed Country house in Ware. Work included obtaining planning permissions, preparing Heritage Statements and Historic Building Assessments, as well as working with masons, joiners and other craftsmen.
